ESRIN is one of four centers run by the European Space Agency, and it has the main role of managing and distributing the vast quantities of Earth Observation satellites payload data that are downlinked daily to receiving stations distributed around the world. ESRIN will bring to the DILIGENT project the role of supporting the uptake and utilization of Earth Observation products and information in many International initiatives, for instance the World Heritage Program and International Conventions on Sustainable Development. In this position ESRIN will be the main interface with a number of key institutional bodies such as UNESCO and UNEP.
